At OCL we recognise our duty to preserve the environment.
In delivering high quality, built environments we understand our responsibility for the natural environment. We acknowledge that we have a responsibility to protect this wider environment both during our operations and over the lifetimes of the facilities that our installations service.
We conduct risk assessments, control hazardous substances and our teams aim to reduce, re-use and recycle wherever practical to do so.
As part of our environmental policy we operate an Environmental Management System compliant with ISO14001:2004. This system is periodically reviewed to ensure legal compliance, suitability and continual improvement of the company’s activities. We are in the process of gaining our formal ISO14001 certification.
We have also taken positive steps to make our fleet as environmentally friendy as possible. We have replaced all of our diesel powered vans with new LPG converted vans. We are also continually looking to replace some of our cars with Hybrid cars such as the Toyota Prius Hybrid.
